What is
Muscle In Balance?
Muscle In Balance is a company dedicated to helping women reach their fitness goals realistically, gain body awareness, and create sustainability in their health journey. The focus is on creating optimal body movement by identifying and correcting muscle imbalances and creating a strong foundation so that goals can be reached most efficiently. So many women are focused on just outward appearance when it benefits them more to confront issues that are internal to create a strong base for a complete and healthy life and body.
So come join me and let’s get healthy together!
Hey I’m Jaz!
I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist and Licensed Massage Therapist.
At age 30, I have gained more energy, feel like I can do more physically, and have less pain than I did in high school. I want to empower other women to discover this is possible for them as well.
My personal fitness journey began hiding in the “women’s room” of my local gym and only going with other people because I was so nervous and lacked knowledge. I knew I needed to exercise for general health but I also got sucked into the world of “body image” issues, especially as I became more sedentary after high school.
As I watched my mom (also a massage therapist and personal trainer) compete in the body building world, I developed a little courage to make a serious change. I signed up with my own personal trainer and committed to my first bikini competition to prove to myself that I could stick to something and get real results. Through this experience, I truly learned the value of having a trainer, a guide, someone with knowledge to fill in the gaps for you. My body made changes I never thought it could. The body building world is only one avenue of fitness though.
When my mom was diagnosed with (AML) Leukemia and I became her caregiver, the body building lifestyle was no longer sustainable for me. My mind shifted to a fitness style that “supports a healthy and sustainable life”. It is during this time that I chose to became a personal trainer myself and use my knowledge to help as many women as I can to learn, understand, and gain control of their bodies like never before.
My focus on returning to the basics of human movement, posture & body awareness, attention to repetitive daily movements, preventing pain before it begins, and a uniquely customized exercise/stretch plan has helped my clients and even myself. I simply want to share the things I wish my younger self knew and to help as many women learn how to transform their mind and body for life.
Thank you for visiting!
I’d love to help you along your fitness journey.
